Dads silverado has a fuel line leaking, and all three lines are a rusty mess. So I ordered this Fuel line kit. I've never used this stuff before. Are there any tips and tricks to make it go smoother? How diligently do I need to protect it from rubbing? I'm hoping it will work well because my truck will need lines soon and I dont want to spend $300 on steel lines. Thanks

You need to secure the line so that it doesn't rub against anything. I used adel clamps. The nylon line doesn't like to be bent to tight otherwise it will kink and that's not good. So if you need to make a tight bend you may have an issue with using it.  You're supposed to be able to heat the line and slip it over the connectors but I never had that much luck doing that. I used a heat gun to soften it "carefully" . To much and it's to soft to work with, not enough heat and you struggle to slip the line over the barbs.  I still used pinch clamps at times.
