A guy from the shop floor, comes up to deliver a box of parts to the engineering area and sees the Dirtball sitting out the window.
He stops, shakes his head and discruntly says to the production scheduler sitting near the window...
"So what... We are driving racecars to work now?"
------
Why wouldn't we /always/ Racecar?

Have you reported him to HR?
Didn't he get the memo? Racecar Friday!
By far the coolest ride in the lot, and the only one that I would stop to check out if I happend to walk by.

That Nissan Versa is one hell of a race car, hunh?
I'm an engineer and daily drive a hearse. Our VP of engineering knows me as "grave digger" and doesn't know my first name after 13 years here. I'm ok with this .
Someone's a bitter Betty.
We instituted fun car friday a while back.
I dont personally own a boring car anymore, so i just drive one of mine on Fridays instead of the cop spec company car.
Everyone i work with knows what's up. They look it the parking lot to see what i drove when i show up at a meeting.
Someone near where i work dailys a C3 I see it every day on the same stretch of interstate rain or shine, but not in winter.

That is awesome... I have always wanted a hearse.

Lol, I let it go... I am pretty use to people that just need to be upset about -something- .... and the Dirtball is pretty much an automotive middle finger to the rest of normal society.
That and I managed to bite my tounge as my knee-jerk reaction was less than work appropriate
In reply to Dusterbd13 :
I drove the 79 Lincoln to work a couple weeks ago and it got a big (positive) reaction from the others in the office.
I thought to my self: You people have no idea what is coming...
To my surprise the DB didn't get as big of a reaction... but I have had it on my computer background since I started there.
We will have to see what gets said when the dune buggy or 53 chevy show up.
Odd thing happened at work?
People all showed up and did their job?
Sorry.

I used to drive my stickered ESP Camaro to work all the time until I changed jobs and it was too low for the parking garage ramps at the new gig.

Someone where I work has started driving an early 80s Malibu. I can't remember the last time I saw one that was still stock and didn't have any rust.
When you drive something old or out of the ordinary, even if the people in your office don't know you by name you become 'that guy with the old car.'
I don't have the proper words to describe my level of admiration for this car. All I can say is you are my hero for owning and driving it.
@The OP
He is just jealous. The typical if I can not have it no one can reaction to something really cool. If one of my employees showed up in something like that I would want a ride and then I might give them a raise.

Thank you, all though that admiration may not be fully deserved

Lol, I will pass that on to the CEO next time I see him!

I think we need a recreation of this event, staring Conrad.
Several of my co workers and I would declare cool car days and when to start the season. Sadly I'm the only one left, everyone else has moved on.

I sold my c4 (partially) out of fear of becoming a corvette guy. I live in a retirement town and there are a lot of corvette guys around and most of them make me cringe a bit.
This car of yours is the biggest middle finger possible to most of the corvette owners I have met and I love that. I also love how you are using a very capable sports car, that has a bad rap because of the people who drive them, for actual car sports. Admiration earned sir.
