Stopped in to Tex Racing's shop in Ether, N.C to drop a tranny for a rebuild, and came across a very nicely done Midget with a Buick GNX turbo 6. I'm sure that one was a real experience to drive.

The owner of that one is on the ls1tech.com boards. He was thrilled to get in the magazine. From what I hear, it's a blast to drive as well.

I remember a 60's/early-70's Corvair that was featured as a flashback in Hot Rod in the 80's. I think its license plate said "FUBAR 2" and it had a blown V8 in the rear with a sweet Mad Max style blower scoop.

No pics of it out on the web, but it really made an impression on me back then.

I'm pretty sure that's a fake. The proportions of the engine look like a different scale than the Mini. And the hood opening is Photoshoppy to me.
