A friend called to tell me about a 1966 - 67 Galaxie; no rust, 5.0 Mustang engine and 5 speed. The owner just dropped $1200 on new chrome bumpers but is almost ready to throw in the towel because he can't get the engine to run right.
Could be a $1500. project.

I've got the time and a little bit of money...
my problem is that I don't know what the hell I'm doing.
If you can read, you can cook.
I'd buy the E36 M3 out of that, and I don't even like Fords.

You should at least go look at it. If nothing else it sounds like an easy flip. Of course I always end up keeping them...
Ever drive one? That will usually take care of your interest. I used to have one many years ago.

If it's anything like how my current 72 LTD rides and drives I'd love it. I don't need all my cars to handle like a 911 ( which I also really enjoy).
You gonna do the Junior Johnson "flying bannanna" aero body mods like the one on the pic you posted?

I'm going to go ahead and guess that this is in NY, and not your friend telling you about this great deal that would be worthwhile if it weren't in OR...
