Yes, I'm aware that I have a problem.
I can't justify the price of a new car, so zero. But if the Jeep breaks again that number will become one when I buy a new Bronco and if I like the way it drives.
The only way to #savethemanuals is the buy one new. I fully realize that. But damn cars are expensive for your average guy.
I've only bought 1 new (2003 Forester) with a manual, 1 that was only 1 year old 1999 ranger), then the other 6 with manuals were all well used.
I've bought 3 new with autos with the most recent less than a month ago.
So I'm no helping, but hoping it's still an option in the 2026/2027 wrangler or bronco.
So far we have only bought one vehicle new, and it being a minivan, is an automatic.
My dad has bought mom more than a few new cars, hers are all automatics, but to my recollection only 2 of his cars were purchased new, one of which was a stick.
I unfortunately just can't afford a new car, otherwise I'd own a new manual vehicle.
Zero, the only two new cars I've ever purchased were autos. I've bought a total of 6 used manual transmission cars.
New?
2013 Mustang GT
2015 BRZ
And at some point this winter or next year I'll buy a new GR86, STi, 400Z or some other manual performance vehicle.
I'm at 100%, with 1, a 2007 Rx-8. I'm hoping to maintain that % when I pick up a Mx-5 RF this year if things go well.

1986 Saab 900
1995 Toyota 4-Runner.
2009 VW Jetta
not new, but my current truck is a 2007 Frontier V-6 6speed.
Ive only bought one brand new vehicle, and that is my daily driver 2010 Yaris. Out of my 7 vehicles, only 2 are automatic, my Highlander and my 1uz swap Malibu, but I still plan to put a manual transmission in that once its running and all ironed out
Of the 60+ vehicles I've purchased in my life only one was new. 1991 Eclipse with a stick shift.
(And I truly regretted it as a financial decision. My money would have been much smarter spent on a used car and no payments.)
I've only bought 1 brand new car. My Nissan frontier.
Wanted a manual. Got a crazy deal on the automatic.
Sooo, none.
Number of vehicles I have bought new with manual transmissions? 1
Number of vehicles I have bought new in my lifetime? Also 1
Of the 5 new vehicles we've ever purchased 2 have been manual: '09 Tacoma (6-speed) and a '11 Mazda2 (5-speed). Sadly both of those have moved on to new owners.
