I think I see fake shift paddles behind the steering wheel. A great example of the worst of all worlds car that ends up useless and un-safe in any environment..

i think the paddles are for the steering wheel quick release..

also just noticed that the shoulder belts are hooked to retractors mounted where the rear seat used to be... is that common practice?

At the risk of exposing my ignorance (never built a cage, never had a car with a cage), what is so awful about this particular one?

I saw the dumb seatbelt retractor in the back seat things, and I know the best cages are welded rather than bolted together, but past that ...

My pee will not be yellow anymore, this dude used up all the available yellow the universe had to offer.

In reply to Daewoo: I didn't notice the front downtubes someone noticed, I was too distracted by the horrific use of scaffolding in the rear. Look at those points where it's bolted together. In an accident the middle portion of that joint is going to be forced into, or out of, that joint. I can't see any bold standing up to that kind of force. When those bolts break, there's no telling who's head those lose bars are going to pass through.

It has bends in it to clear the dashboard, instead of just cutting a hole in the dash like you're supposed to.

And no A-pillar support, either, but I usually look at rally cages...

Essentially the cage has no strength in the most critical area, so it serves no purpose except as a place to apply more yellow paint.

The funny thing is, if the front tubes DIDN'T bother to try to follow the A-pillar, it would be a hell of a lot stronger. Still not ideal, but at least it wouldn't fold at the first opportunity.

Who wants to make bets that it's made out of PVC anyway?
