I disagree. 4bts can make pretty crazy power too.
FYI: I don't post things like this because I'm trying convince anyone that it's a great idea (or even a good idea).
I post these things because they are interesting or downright weird and they can possibly spawn new ideas.
I myself enjoy looking around to "see what's out there". And I'd definately "out there"!

I find that hard to believe.....then again, I've had nothing but bad experiences with Cummins BT and C series engines.

its true, the 4bt is literally a 6bt with 2 cylinders cut off, can still use 90% of the performance stuff from the 12 valve engines

It isn't the first diesel swapped into a Silvia though......I swear I've seen a mb diesel powered one years ago.
Here's what I see. Guy had a motor and a chassis, took them and put them together and made himself a toy. We don't know the history of either of these items, only that they're one and the same now. I would bet a bottle of Jameson and a crisp Benjamin Franklin that if this car were to show up at $Challenge, you'd all love it and it'd be on the cover of GRM. I don't get why all the hate. Looks like a E36 M3load of fun to me.

Not to pick nits but a 4bt isn't really even a truck motor let alone a car motor. It's more of an industrial/agricultural equipment powerplant.

almost makes me yearn for the Chevy wagon with the Diesel I had decades ago. I paid $1,000 drove it 100k until the engine sized and I scrapped the car as the rust demon started to eat important parts.

More 6BT engines were used in agriculture/industrial/generator than in rusty pickups
Most of them also blew up making sub-190hp.
