So, my beautiful and talented daughter has cracked the oil pan, not sure if motor ok yet, but assuming it is, where can I get one?

Parts not as plentiful as they were 5 or 6 years ago, nothing seemingly available in Phoenix or Tucson.

Anybody have something like treasure coast is with Miata parts for old bimmers?

The classifieds section on bimmerforums can be surprisingly useful for finding parts in pretty good shape.

Would help if you specified which e30....there are 3 or 4 different oil pans depending on engine ;)

try r3vlimite forums....it's an e30 site so you might have better luck (bimmerforums is all chassis)

Call Guten Parts & Service in South Orange, NJ. The owner, Levent, is an E30 nut. He's always got tons of used E30 parts in stock. Fair prices, too.

Better yet, join the r3vlimited Facebook group and post there.

I'll try r3vlimited and the fellow in NJ.

It's an 86 325es, I didn't think there'd be a difference in m20 family of motors ( well, e30 wise).

I thought m20s had steel oil pans? My 528e does, anyway. I guess you can crack steel sheet metal, but you can also weld them pretty easily.

Edit: e28s and e30s have different oil pans. Hooray 3 minute research.

Not local but I'm sure he'd be happy to ship (and he's a forum member too)

Jake has tons more parts than are on his website, might be worth contacting him:

Ah, ok - so fair to say you've done bidness and he's a good cat? This board seems stocked with good people....

Nothing local seems to have availability, so likely it's between this and ECS Tuning, who has new replacement units at $185 (or so).

Thanks for the heads up.
