Dad had a couple 190SL's. This was the first one, maybe a 57. He sold this one for $1300 to buy the next one.
In 63 there was a Gullwing for sale down the street. He wanted it, but $5000 is a lot of money. Bought stocks instead and promptly lost it.
Dad's first car, 1950 Chevy. He paid $500 for it and washed it so often the paint wore thin. So he and his father painted it. With brushes. In the driveway. GRM before GRM was GRM.
Mom and Dad's '73 Pinto (before I was born). He owned it long enough for me to remember it as a young kid. My parents were maybe 23 or 24 in this picture and I can't believe they look so young.
I'm pretty sure this would qualify as a modern day bad Craigslist photo.
