Everything I've ever heard about RA1s says that so long as they're mechanically in good shape they'll be sticky, and they're stickiest just before they cord.

You guys had me excited about these, too. I bet they'd be epic on the MX6.
I suppose even if i don't get them, i'll end up buying a new set anyways, was just hoping to save some money.
Last year I got several sets of kumho and hoosier slicks for free that had build dates ranging from 2004-2007. Some of them were almost as good as a fresh set, and some were worse than my star specs.
Its a crapshoot, and depends a lot on how they were stored(temp, UV + air exposure, light, and more). But if the price is right, I'd go for it.
