This has the makings of a great story! We were all set to crowdfund frenchyd's trip to the Challenge - to no avail. Turns out we were close geographically but had the car and the owner wrong! :D

Ok, Ok ... I messaged the seller.

We should GRM express it towards Stampie but it should stop along the way and get work done on it so it arrives Ready to run.   Robbie and I can meet at Gumbys one weekend and we can try to fix the chassis and get the body actually attached.   Then it can go to Travis's to get interior paneling figured out since he has experience filling holes between bodies and chassis, then take it to Calvin to make it run.  Best Roadtrip ever.

Bob hasn't gotten back to me but yupididit pointed out that Indy is like a 9 hour trip one way to go get it.  Not going to ask someone to do that.

Like I said,  I'll haul part of the way. I understand there are extra engines with it?   You'll need someone with a truck for that plus  An engine hoist.  I'm working now with a guy in North Carolina.  But that wont happen until the middle of August.  If it can wait until then I can get it that far.

I don't see any extra engine in the ad.  I'm not going to ask someone to haul it that far unless they are doing it anyway.  If you're going there anyway I'll pay for extra trailer rental but I'm not going to ask the Indy guys to drive 9 hours each way to bring it that much closer.

That's what I'm trying to say.  I have to go down there anyway.  Let me look up the town and I'll get back with you.   But the soonest I can do that is about the 10th of August.   Otherwise I can go there Sunday and pick it up for you.
