Seems priced a little high?

I thought only the '79 or '80 RX-7's had the gauge cluster with the big tach in the middle? If so that was swapped. Might've been owned by an enthusiast at one point.

Xlerer8x, Nope, all 79-85 RX-7's got the big tach factory. The only difference in clusters is the MPH limit on the speedos and some font changes.

As for the car, it's an "LE", not an "S". It's lower miles for an old one, the body is straight, and it has good options (manual windows, the LE mesh wheels, aftermarket louvers and exhaust). Looks like it has the glass moonroof as well, which brings $500 on it's own. Well worth the money!

Not sure I'd buy a car from a white supremacist front, but it looks clean.

I would go drive both and see which you like better. The Z looks to be in better shape but in my admittedly biased experience the 7 will probably be the more "fun" car. If you like both go with the one in better condition.

I had a brief affair with a non turbo Z and it felt pretty big and heavy in comparison to my 84 GSL-SE but it all depends on what you want to do with the car.

I like the brown mopar('Cuda?) behind the RX-7, thats nice

That z is how I'd prefer to get to work. The fb would dominate it in most performance respects though.

I'm really about 95% sure I'm going with the Z they are a known for me, I really enjoyed my old one and it was bullet proof. Not me crashing it proof, but that was way way a long time ago when I had no sense. I'm sure the rx7 is a good car, and the engine is way cool. I understand things better on the Z, and modding one is pretty easy too.

Looks like a '70 Barracuda in T3 Sahara Tan Poly. Starting in '70 the basic models were named Barracuda, the performance models were named 'Cuda. This one has the flat hood of the base model.

The 'Cuda name first appeared on a Barracuda in '69 as a Roadrunner-like package. Ma Mopar just picked up on the nickname that had been used since they first hit the showrooms.

That RX7 is pretty nice too. But I'd have some reservations buying a car there as well.

Thought about a 3rd gen Celica GTS?

They have just as much, if not more 80s appeal, look amazing in almost any color (including brown!!) and are VERY impressive performers when compared against almost anything of the same vintage.

Very torquey, aftermarket for the 22re is amazing, they handle great, and have a limited slip rear end. Cake to work on.

Plus... they have flip up lights!

I will always have a car with flip up lights. I currently have two.

Next is a Miata or SW20 MR2.

The celica supras are cool, I'm going to be daily driving whatever I get. That being said being in the military sometimes means I have to haul a good amount of crap. That's why the Z was so high on the list.

Candidates so far are (2800 budget limit)

V6 camaros (96+)

Z31 and maybe a Z32

Rx7

And celicas.

Now I've contemplated sedans as well, but for the life of me I can't think of any that are RWD and have an IRS, besides BMWs of course.

Why a V6 Camaro when for $3500 you can have a cleanly modded LT1 T/A?

Budget limit is 2800 that's why. The rest of my tax return is tied up in moving soon and other stuff :(
