$750 is ridiculous.
IME, these days open transport is usually around $0.50/mile, enclosed about twice that. (it varies with the price of fuel).
Borrow a truck from a friend and rent a tow dolley?
Do you have reason to think it wouldn't be able to make the drive under its own power? Even if it hasn't run in 4 years, Miatas are pretty hardy. A new battery, put air in the tires and maybe flush the gas?
Google says that is 325 miles.
45-50 cents per mile is typical for a running vehicle. Yours is a non runner.
If it were me, I would hit Uship with not an auction but a name your own price of 60 cents which is $195 so round that to $200 and someone will bring it right to your front door.

Bad clutch and title shenanigans.
Hoping to get title fixed and get it drivable.
However if I cant get title fixed might end having to part it out, cut the remains in half and take it to a metal recycler.
Good question about title.
Of my three recent tows.
1) Title came to me after the car arrived (salvage auction)
2) Title came to me before the car arrived (used dealer)
3) I already owned the car for nearly a year.
In all these cases, I was never asked for a title by the shipper.
I am under the assumption that the terms and conditions of Uship made me swear that I was a rightful owner.
