I have wanted to do something similar all my life. I even bought an 86 regal and started sanding it down, although I was going to do it up in DW's #11 Mountain Dew livery. But my wife made me sell it after a week. Anyway that thing is badass.
Y'know... you could probably pick up a '75 Matador for virtually nothing. Doing one up in Penske NASCAR colors with a real engine would be an absolute hoot.
Man that thing is a beauty! I really need to get back unde the hood of mine. In a couple months however I will have some help so we will see what happens.
i'd love to see more pics of that car, the look good as stock cars. In reply to Appleseed: The biggest problem with cutting out the wheelwells is that the body is too high on the frame to look right. I'm trying to work around that in my Monte Carlo.
