Socks, cash, flashlight.
I was a tech at a Hyster dealer in Michigan. What a crazy time!
I like the cash idea, but it can feel like not much when you look at all the hours in a year you worked your butt off. If it's not cash, it does feel more like a gift. Weird, I know, but I think the effect is real. Especially because some people do get paid a significant end of year bonus, you don't want to your teams to feel like they are getting a E36 M3ty bonus. If you do cash, just make it clear it is NOT a bonus.
How about ask the tool truck guy to come by with 8 choices for a $40 tool and everyone gets to pick one?
If everyone gets the same and it can't be cash, then I like the flashlight, or a really nice version of something you're guaranteed to already have but probably not a super nice one. Like a high end #2 Phillips, or side cutter, etc.
The tool truck idea is great.
If not possible could you pick a few options, buy one of each and let each person pick what they want and then order it for each one?

You can preload them with shop memories, funny moments, or project progress pics, which will keep everyone entertained during breaks. Plus, they’re super easy to update wirelessly, so you can keep adding new stuff without any hassle.
Are you a canoe?
