Not about hosting or anything helpful like that, but...
If you don't want to go through and fix all your links, I'd suggest you add a link to your album on [redacted] so the pictures will at least be accessible and not completely destroy the informational aspect of the build threads.
Of course this only applies to those of us that are within their storage cap and aren't completely screwed.
You can still see the pictures by copying the image URL and pasting it into a browser tab. This will eventually lead you to the pic on photobucket's site. Which is what this idea is based on:

I don't understand what any of the stuff in that link means, but it sounds like a pain in the ass.
On my laptop I can right-click and "open image in new tab" and that redirects me to the image in album (and loads the whole terrible [redacted].com experience) although on my mobile devices it loads the FU-image.
