Of course it is! Who doesn't need a 10.8L v8 dump truck motor in their cruiser I ask you?

It actually packaged up pretty nearly, I was surprised at the fit.

I'll look into them a bit more, but im pretty sure only the petrol models are within price range at the moment.

Enabling commences....

And that's exactly why I love this place.

Daeman: I want to buy something older and more oddball than common sense would dictate.

Grm: of course! Is there any other way? By the way, engine swap!

Enable away haha

You guys got the Forester with the dual-range gearbox down there. It doesn't meet your needs, but I'd like to hear about it if you know anything about it.

The Suzuki Grand Vitara or whatever you called them ought to tick all of your boxes. Did you get the longer edition?  Put a bit of a lift and some good tires on one, and they'll go most places you'd want to go with a roof top tent attached.

All we got in the US was the petrol versions of the Mitsu, but I like mine

Tbh I'm not sure, I know some Subaru stuff has dual range. My brother works as a tech for Subaru, I'll pick his brains if you'd like. I know he's trying to find a diesel ee20 and compatible a dual range to stick in his brumby(brat).

The Vitara won't really meet the towing requirement. We've Currently got a Forester, which is kind of in a similar vein.

How's your mileage? The v6 petrols are kinda thirsty aren't they, especially next to the diesel version. They're definitely a comfortable vehicle though.

About 15 mpg out of my 3.5L

The newer 3.8L gets maybe 16 mpg
