This could be a good deal or a "make me an offer" "oh no I couldn't take less than $12,000" situation.

In reply to Scotty Con Queso :
If it's manual and has a title I'm buying that, provided the guy will take a reasonable price- trying to get some communication going now. Thanks for the link!
In reply to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ :
Why would you want that wreck when it is selling for more than a clean car?
In reply to NOHOME :
Facebook marketplace forces pricing in wacky ways- I'd offer him a sub-challenge price. FB most likely won't let him enter a price below $4k.
EDIT: Sent message, got "salvage certificate, it ran but I lost the keys." So that's probably a no go.

Here is an FRS just south of Detroit for 9450, FB link: Link link
Or, rebuilt title FRS in Chicago Here
Edit-sorry, this is an auto transmission

the 2013 frs' have the valve spring recall, where it seems to be 50/50 whether the dealer fix kills the engine or not.

Looks like this one dropped in price recently.
Another one not far from you: BRZ in Morrisville At a dealer, so he might be willing to drop the price. Especially at the end of the month?

That's the guy who keeps failing to meet up with me, but yes I've been working on that one.
There's a $7500 FRS up in NY that I'm trying to set up a time to look at for next weekend, hoping that pans out.
$7k, 50k miles, 10 DTCs mostly about cam position, and a tappy noise from the passenger cylinder head. I did a thing:
