Too easy - I read his book They Call Me Mister 500 when I was a teenager and was blown away by his story.

I read Andy got there first and kissed Mario ahead of the race Queen kissing Mario and that set up the Andretti Curse (never winning)

He was a Chicago guy and in the early days they built a Indy 500 car and drove it to Indianapolis to race it. It's in the book!

They call me Mister 500 was a great read.  I bet it's long since out of print.

The crews had STP logo uniforms too.  I think if STP was smart they'd reproduce them, at least the shirts (on the other hand, STP suits probably wouldn't sell very well.)  Oddly enough in this photo Andy was in a regular sport coat.  "So powerful was the image of Granatelli and STP’s marketing, that a cartoon was published in the New York Times of Neil Armstrong setting foot on the moon and the first thing he saw was an STP decal."

The story of the Granatelli brothers is pretty interesting.  People typically remember Andy since he was the most public one, but Joe and Vince were a big part of the family legacy as well.  https://speedwaysightings.wordpress.com/2014/05/17/the-legend-of-the-granatelli-brothers/

There is a certain age group who think STP stands for Stone Temple Pilots.

I like to watch old Indy 500 races on YouTube and love it when the commercials aren't edited out....STP ads with Andy in a trenchcoat make me happy.
