Anyone have any experience with Primewell PZ900s?
I'd like to get out of race tire class with my local AX, and these are cheap and available locally in the right size.
Looks to be Firestones cheap brand, 280 treadwear. Not great, but for $100/tire in 245/45R17...?
I am pretty sure that I have that tire on my honda. They are fairly new so I can't say how good they really are they seem decent at the moment.

I've never used them but we sell them at work. They are cheap and look like they could be decent.

as far as cheap tires you cant beat triangle tr968 been running them in that same size paid like 68 a tire for them (hey im unemployed) sumitomo htr zII are by far a stickier tire tho...
http://www.onlinetires.com/products/vehicle/tires/sumitomo/245%252F45-17+sumitomo+htrz+ii+95w+bw.html and stupid sticky almost as good as star specs in my opinion are federal 595's http://www.onlinetires.com/products/vehicle/tires/federal/245%252F45-17+federal+ss-595+95v+bsw.html 70 a tire. be warned they are wider than most 245 street tires.

in my opinion the primewells are decent but ive never been too impressed with any firestone tire other than the wide oval and those to me are just avg... ofcourse every car is different. what works good on mine could be totally diff on yours.... what is your car?
5.0 'vert with a torque arm and a bunch of other stuff.
If I don't get these, I'll just get some Star Specs or RT-615s or the like online. I'm just doing my typical "OH CRAP, AX is 2 days away, and I want new tires!" bit.
In reply to KATYB:
I had some Triangle Talons on my Civic when I got it. They were terrible tires.
Oh lord i hate those Sumis...

93 ex hmmmm.... i havent pushed them past 8/10s yet but so far they have far outperformed the falken fk 452 i had before those are the worst tires ive ever owned, didnt hold the rd for anything. noisy and oh lasted 4k before they were under 2/32nds
Yeah, I've had two sets of the Falken Ziexes (both I acquired used, so that may be a big part of this), and they were both just horrible tires. Just no grip whatsoever.

+1. Ziexs are garbage to me. I've had both the 512s and the 912s. Hated them both.

those werent ziexs. i also had the cheaper azenis and those sucked too. personally im not much of a fan of azenis either. they were great on my egt. but on the 6 they are terrible. seems 2500 lbs and over they just dont work well.
Every Primewell we've had come in here have had busted belts, chopped to hell, louder than 38" super swampers on concrete and had about 6/32 on them..... Other than that they were perfectly fine for $60 a piece tire.
