Woohoo! Way to represent, fellas! A hard-won second place is a fine result, especially when looking back on the first event with the car.

Thanks to minimal cone usage on the wide-open expanse of concrete, the ProSolo Finale featured a pair of deceptively challenging courses. Posing as simple elements, a variety of technical sections kept the field of 11 STR-class drivers working overtime during the weekend. Eventual winner Ken Montonishi jumped out to a significant lead right off the bat, and he didn't look back all weekend. GRM and Tire Rack drivers John Rogers and Chris Harvey drove flat-out in an effort to catch Montonishi. However, they could only be the best of the rest by finishing second and third overall.

Harvey scored enough points in the Finale to finish the year-end points championship in second place overall. Montonishi, who went undefeated all year, took first in points.

Next stop is the practice course on Monday, followed by the Tire Rack SCCA National Championship event beginning on Tuesday.
