Does anyone know of any public auto auctions in Michigan? Specifically Oakland County? I just know about the VOA Auction

thanks Nick

There's a public auction on Telegraph road about 1/4 mile north of I-96. IIRC, they do auctions on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings. It's not Oakland county, but it's at least easy to get to.

My experience with public auctions is cars in the lower price range ($5K and below) are turds that dealers can't, or more importantly WONT sell. In the upper range, you can find some nice cars. For instance, someone trades in a CTS at a BMW dealer. The BMW dealer simply won't put a Caddie on his lot. Of to the auction it goes.
Prices seem to be no cheaper than CL or Autotrader, the difference being, you can't even drive the auction cars.

Doc, you got caught out by a (seemingly related, perhaps) canoe. this thread was dormant for FOUR YEARS.

observation: are canoes now looking for threads that went dormant near the current month/day? seems like strong coincidence that this thread went to sleep on Jan 27th 2009 and was revived on Jan 29th 2013.
