im planning on cleaning my maf while I install a new air filter. The screen element before the maf is so dirty. Anyways, i have a full can of crc QD electronics cleaner, Has anyone used this in place of crc's maf cleaner?

For whatever it's worth, here's a review on Amazon for the QD cleaner in which the user cleaned a MAF. I keep some CRC MAF cleaner on hand since I seem to clean them so often.

I've used it a few times with no adverse effects, YMMV.

I think MAF sensor cleaning may be over done. I have never or had to clean it on any car I have owned. All ran fine. ZX2SR 10 yrs.

Liberty 8 yrs.

All others were short term.

I have used the qd many times as well. Though I will say that all of my mafs are wire and not screen.
