If you have bought a new trailer lately (Haulmark, Cargomate, Intech, etc) what was MSRP and how much did you actually pay?
RV's that I have bought, I have gotten 20-25% off MSRP, seeing if race trailers are the same.
Thanks

Generally speaking, MSRP is about it, maybe a bit less but prices are probably going up soon. There's always going to be some one off deals though, like the trailer we bought last winter that was an absolute stripper base model in an uncommon size that had been sitting on the lot for a full year. I think we got that at about 25% below MSRP, but basically everything else on the lot would have been pretty much full price.

There is a much larger market for RVs than race trailers; also RVs are pretty much just toys, while race trailers are much more "functional" and are used by businesses as well. I suspect that those two factors mean that there's more markup on RVs than there is on race trailers, and that that leaves more room for discounting when the economy turns.

Have RV's gone back to the big-discounting model? Last I knew they still weren't really doing it to that extent anymore either.

It's been a few years since I bought one, but looking at motorhomes. A 300k unit sells for $215k
