Someone come up with millions and millions to do this. Turn and old mall into a race complex. The possibilities!

A few months ago I posted that my local mall was being auctioned off and many people poo-poo'd the idea.
I'm with you, man. Complete inner complex, usually a garage area, food service space, put bleachers on the roof, and bingo.
Many years ago we used to use a local mall for autocrosses once a month because they were closed on Sundays.
Once a year, we'd get the whole place and build a road course around it. This was in the early 80's when it was still hard to get on a real track. It was pretty epic for a bunch of cone dodgers.
Considering that its hard enough to keep a track open when the town grows out to it, it would probably be easier to reopen Three Mile Island.
Oh, wait...

Dude you forgot the indoor kart tack.
Yes, this. Also indoor storage units and garage condos.
There's a whole lot of electrical infrastructure at a mall.... Keep the noise down with a Tesla Model3 spec class.

The new Oldsmobiles are in early this year.
Noise regs and neighbors would ensure that this would never work, sadly.
On the other hand, why not gut the interior and make it into a go-kart track?
Electric karts outside would be epic, as with the width of kart tracks you could design an incredibly technical course several miles long.

But at least you're having fun doing it
May work for an autocross location. But no way for a race location without repaving an entire course. Parking lot paving isn't as good as regular roads, which, in turn, isn't as good as race tracks.
Having autocrossed on an old parking lot that just crumbled- I can't see this being a good value.

How do you make a million dollars racing? Start with two million!

And how would you make it up?
Volume.
It's good to think about repurposing vacant property , but ...
F1 infamously tried the parking lot idea at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, and IndyCar raced on a parking lot in Houston. No one is clamoring for either of those again.

That's because F1 didn't think to make the Cesar's Palace course jump the fountains.
