There's a spec IS300 series that runs at Minden Fairgrounds with the CASC series which is kind of cool, equal cars, equal tires, rwd, 2JZ engine NO E36 M3!

I wish it were closer as it looks like a lot of fun.

I"m going to try to do an event with Adirondack in the rally car this winter, since the winter rally we usually do has been cancelled .

Based on this thread, I found an event three hours away, and I'm unreasonably excited at the prospect of taking the CR-Z out there.
Only bummer is that I swapped my summer tires for a set of Vredstein Quatrac 5, which are all seasons with the severe snow service rating. That'll put me in with studless dedicated snows. I mean, not that I'll be remotely competitive anyhow.

Yes there are.
Some SCCA regions hold them.

That's awesome. When is the event?

Its a good series, lots of karters and road racers giving ice racing a go.
I have the same issue with ice racing that I do with snowmobiling. It' always cold out when stuff breaks and I hate working on stuff in the cold.

Does anyone do like ice autocross/rallycross? Something where it's one car at a time rather than wheel-to-wheel?
Sports Car Club of Vermont on Lake Champlain at the boat launch in Colchester on Mallet's Bay, on Lake Iroquois, and other spots. Weather dependant of course.
