When did rota slipstreams come out?

Was satin paint a thing in tbe late 90s?

Rotas slips came out in early to mid 2000s, the wheel they copy came out in the 90s I believe.

I don't remember much sating paint at all, aside from satin black.   But that was never much of a Radwood type of thing.

Unrelated tangent. I remember a brief period when local dealers were selling pastel colors and neon painted rims around the mid-late 1980's.

I painted my car with satin orange paint in 2000 which was right on the forefront of the non glossy paint trend. That spring when I took the car to a big show the folks from Rod & Custom Magazine made a fuss about the unusual finish and sought me out to photograph the car. By 2001 or so, it was getting reasonably common.

I don't remember much in the mid 90s that wasn't thoroughly polished. The slipstreams would be on the tail end but appropriate. That said, the shows I've been to had cars with out of period mods and no one seems to care. They've been some of the most laidback, fun car show  crowds I've encountered.

Thanks y'all. Thinking through a radwood style 96 neon challenge car.

Debating what/how to do it. Probably should wait until we pick it up.

I dound that car in white with blue stripes in Virginia.

Way overpriced for a car full of water and that hammered (900).

Mine will be radwood half budget build. Because ultimately its a parts car.

Radwood is cool.  Satin paint isn't.  Never the twain shall meet.

Every neon owner (#metoo) stares at that thing for hours. Even though it's a SOHC...
