I voted up ECM's Celica back when the reader's rides first went up. Mostly because it's got turbine wheels on it in the pic. How can that not be awesome?
How is "most interesting" sorted anyway?

Most interesting takes into account when it was posted, when it was last changed, how many votes, how many comments, how many updates and maybe one or two other factors. It's designed to show which ones are currently attracting the most interest.

You sold that? Why'd you do that?

I just bought a house, the extra cash will be nice. Also, I'm looking for a rallycross/stage rally contender and the MR2 wasn't it.
I dunno. In one respect, it's cool to see random rides all of the time. However, judging by the comment dates, it seems like it takes a few months for a car to resurface in the sidebar.
I try to comment on any car that strikes me as interesting. Acknowledgement is a nice thing.
Hey Guys, you realize I will have to post some sans body work photos. If you think this beast looks sick sitting still you should see the 600HP V12 Monster that lurks below that massive hood cowl.
Ive driven some pretty fast race cars over the last 25+yrs racing and trust me this one is a BEAST.
We have kept her in her original 1982 Daytona form, everything is original except the wheels which were replace for safety as we race her hard as she was ment to be.
This isnt a museum piece, last year she turned 206.2 at the Glen and 129.5 at Mosport, within a second of Tulluis's fastest time when he won the Trans Am race there with her.
THUNDERING ELEGENCE was Jaguar's Sale Pitch when she competed.
Cheers Steve
If that Jag gets updates, it's sure to stay at the top.
One more random thought... there's some very interesting cars that are languishing at the bottom of "most interesting" because they haven't received any votes, updates or comments lately. Just sayin'

I'm glad someone likes it without me explaining to them what it is.
Just a thought Tim, but considering this Big Bad Cat is also on the Mitty Event poster. Is there any chance of it gracing the cover of the GRM issue that reports on the Mitty? Not to mention the Driver/Owner is a longtime subscriber.
Tim,
Aaron and I love the Readers Rides section. We are both trying to get in the habit of updating ours as we do work. (Aaron is doing a far better job than I at this)
The only thing I don’t like about it VS a build diary thread is the exchange of posts with other board goes about the cars. I know we can comment in the gallery, but it just doesn’t "feel" the same.
BTW... I updated the Beetle... :-)

my exact thoughts
Exactly, there seems to be the loss of that community feel. Or the feeling of standing around chatting about cars and discussing one or more projects in the course of the conversation.
I'm not sure how to improve that feeling though, without more closely linking the discussion boards with the reader's rides.
