So I decided to flying miata depower the rack on my tercel- since it's currently bay-empty waiting for a 4EFTE to go on.. The de-power was easy, made a SST to do it, but now i've been faced with no one in town selling the rack's rubber boots!! I called the dealer, napa, partsource, carquest, a couple other private parts suppliers.. nothing! It's ridiculous! I thought for sure i could find them with no trouble, it's ALMOST a wear item, i would consider doing them on an older car if i was doing tie-rods.. as mine were absolutely destroyed, and likely 20 years old..
Eitherway, i bought a set off ebay, but god damn, what a pain. I figure i would have had the rack back in, motor in and close to complete by now. nein!!
