In reply to foxtrapper, outasite: I was planning on making it from solid 2x10's. My current set is 2x6's, but it's narrow and not tall enough. Those seem like a better idea. Uses lots less lumber. Not super confident about plywood and putting the 2x10s on their side like that, but the math checks out.
