I bought this jack about 2 years ago. Harbor Freight Jack

It worked well for less than 6 months before it started leaking down if I left it supporting anything for too long, and the pump recently completely blew (loud pop while trying to lift the car off the jack stands and won't support the weight of a car anymore).  A new pump is $100, and Harbor Freight says it's not rebuildable.

2 questions:

1.  Has anyone successfully resealed one of these jacks?

2.  What is the "real" version of this if I wanted one that lasts more than a couple years?

There is a guy named HiBall on this tool forum. He is essentially the guru. Find a thread where he has advised on H F jacks.
