I sent an email to Porterfield to ask what rotor they recommend, but considering the news from Tuesday, I'm not expecting anything too soon.
Long story short; '90 foxbody 'vert, SN95 spindle/brake swap, at this point all but a dedicated AX car (still CA street legal).
I basically have it narrowed down to either running the cheapest parts-house blanks I can get, or ponying up for Hawk Quiet Slots, though I'm open to other recommendations.
Pretty much no matter what you put on there, they're going to get eaten by those pads, soo.... i'd go cheap.
I bought Centric Premiums for my car. They were still cheap, and they made me feel better than buying the absolute bottom of the barrel bullE36 M3.

I just got R4S for the Miata and some cheap Napa blanks. I haven't put them on yet but the cheapest Napa rotors are all I ever use and don't have any problems.
I treat rotors as disposable, which is easy when Miata rotors are so cheap.
NAPA has worked out fine for me.

Rotors really are the least critical part of your brakes. I mean, they're critical, but they're all really just lumps of cast iron. As long as they don't crack and have decent internal venting, they're good.
I've never found the R4S to be terribly hard on rotors. Overheated (and still effective) PFC97s, on the other hand, are known at FM as Rotor Eaters.
K, thanks guys! Saves me at least $100 ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/cool-18.png)
