So I'm having issues with my 08 grand cherokee randomly stalling. It was a rare issue, happening once every several months, but has done it several times the last few times we've driven it. The interwebs suggest that the PCM on these are a common failure point. None of the box store sell a replacement, but there are a ton of places on line that you can send your existing PCM to them for repair, but I'm not sure which ones would be a reliable source for fixing it.

Does anyone have experience with one these type places?

I've used PCMforless.com multiple times, but last I checked he only did GM LT1 and LS stuff.

Dad had one rebuilt for his Duramax.  We shopped around and I forget if we went with ecmrebuilders.com or moduleexperts.com, but it has been running great.

Despite how they look, they're not that terrible.  You see a fried resistor, replace with the same kind.  You see a burned trace, re-solder it.  It's not quite that simple, but a bit hard to mess up if they diagnose correctly.
