Finally using my free can. Did my first hand wash/wax on my civic and realizing how bad the hood looks. Loads of little scratches and what not. The hood is rather small, maybe 2'x4', I should be able to cover that with my free can. Masking the surrounding area used 12 garbage bags. First coat is on and I'm getting pictures as I go. Wish me luck.
You know taking the hood off would've been easier than masking the front of the car with 12 garbage bags...
A two-foot by four-foot hood on a Civic?
GameboyRMH, don't bring logic into this.
ebonyandivory, ballparkish. The 8th gen has a short hood.
Either way it went on well enough, but 1 can came up a little short. Pics soon.
Trying, fighting between the card, chromebook, getting online

After 1 can
The plan is to get another can to finish it off, lets see how soon I can get that done.
Waiting for SWMBO to see and freak out as to why my car has a white hood

looked better black. looks terrible white. like you had an accident, got a white hood, didn't get it repainted.
You should get enough to do the doors and trunk to match so it looks like a Civic squad car.
Need to black out the chrome grill too.
That white hood is begging for a tramp stamp.
I realized how bad the white hood looked after a day. In the final test of these coatings, I peeled it off. That was relatively easy, aside from the thin parts it came off in one nice sheet.
I like the thought of the squad car, but I don't care to risk upsetting a passing cop. I also have played with the idea of VW harlequin inspired look. But anything else will have to wait until I buy a proper spray gun setup, because now I REALLY want one.
