Remote Rev, have we discussed this?

Apparently the new mustang will be able to rev its engine from the key fob. 
 

Brilliant marketing. Ford understands their customer base well. 
 

but berk the person that came up with that. I hope every single one of their neighbors buys one and starts their day that way. 
 

There are lots of inventions that the inventor should be cursed to experience or use at all times for the rest of their lives. Design a handle-heavy butterknife? That's all you get at the table from now on. That damn Brita pitcher with the lid held on by gravity and wishful thinking? That should be your only source of life-giving drinking water. The Vuvuzela? in a just world that's all you'd hear for the rest of your life. Remote rev? Preprogrammed rev sequences all day every day.

Oohhh ... can we hack the rev button to play songs with the engine note, like the F1 teams do?  "Sweet Home Alabama" on a 5.0 would really hit the spot!  

This feels like its about 18 days late.

The remote needs 4 buttons... lock, unlock, rev engine, kill pedestrians.

I think you are safe for now. Harley's are made for luddites who think fuel injection was a bad thing.

I am assuming this is a feature on the automatic only and thus is a great way for us Mustang enthusiasts to identify vehicles we shouldn't get too excited about. 

Side note, I wonder how high you can rev it with this feature, or how this works when you're walking up to your car and it's cold.

I saw something about 3k, 4k, and 5k. 

Can't wait for this feature to be added to aftermarket remote start kits.
