As annoyed as I'd be as his dad I'm glad to see kids doing crazy stuff with cars.
Time to learn how to swap out a trans?
Might try posting to one of the Tampa/Orlando FB groups.
If kiddo is up for doing it himself the factory service manuals for these cars tend to be very good.

His dad is a car guy as well, both seem to get their hard parts built though
