It's a bummer that neither are RWD nor V8. I guess I'll just keep my wagon:

Really looking forward to a head-to-head comparo of these. Looks like the Regal will come in up to $20k less, though I'd prefer to lose the AWD and body cladding.  They're both very handsome and I'd like to add a Regal to the stable in a few years.

In Europe you can get it without the cladding:

What if I told you, you could go to a dealership and pick up a poop brown, limited slip rear wheel drive, diesel wagon? Then I told you it was at a Ford dealership.

Why are all the major utility van manufacturers on a race to the bottom of how ugly they can make their vehicles?  And that's even one of the better looking ones.

I can't say that the old econolines were all that pretty to begin with

Uhh, a lot of rear overhang goes with the territory of a station wagon. If it didn't have that overhang it would be a hatchback. (uh oh, don't tell Nick!)

@RossD: Good point.

I was thinking about the prices after Woody said 'nope' at the $48k for the Ford passenger 'wagon'. You can get a Expedition starting at $51k, a Tahoe starts at $47k and a Suburban at $50k.  Startling. For fun I started optioning all the big ticket stuff for a Suburban and broke $80k.

The Volvo V90 T6 AWD starts at $56k. And the Buick website still shows their wagon as a Future Model so no pricing posted there.

I found the dealer price on the Ford Van at $41.6k. $4k cash back available too.

There is a difference between "utilitarian" and "actively ugly".

Needs shorter overhangs. It’s got Too much nose and ass. Just like a model with those same attributes. 9/10 would not bang.

There's a V60 if you don't want the overhangs.  The Polestar version is dressed to impress.

I don't think the overhang on the front is too different from the Sedan. The rear of the Wagon is a little longer than the sedan, but not by much, I bet it is the bulk of the rear that makes it look longer.

I'm not seeing too much overhang on the V90, either.  Having just spent a bunch of time in Volvo showrooms, I'll say the S90 is a damned handsome car in person - particularly by current styling standards.  If I was looking for a car that big I would definitely drive it.  As it is I'll probably be seriously considering V60s in about 3 years.

$52,590 MSRP for my configured V90.  One thing I wish is that you could get a tan interior instead of only black, though.
