Ouch. Glad he's okay. Looks like the car held up pretty well, other than the bursting into flames part - which may not have happened immediately.
You drive high performance machinery for a living with a different car every day, something's going to bite you eventually.
You know, I really would have thought Clarkson would be the crash happy bloke.
If Hammond keeps this up, the insurance company isn't going to let him drive anymore.
I actually feel a little bad for Rimac. I followed along from the guys DIYElecticcar days to the point where he formed the company and built the Rimac. It's a small operation so loosing one of the show cars has to hurt.
Good lord Richard, keep it on the road man! That could have been so much worse, glad the injuries weren't more severe.
The car took a weird slide. I wonder if something broke. He really did not look to be going all that fast.
I assume someone's insurance will pick up the tab.

What he lacks in quantity he makes up for in quality.
These guys do take actual risks to bring us the cool footage of fast cars doing fast car things. Glad he seems to be OK, but that's something to keep in mind.

Where did you see video?

Looks like he was going pretty fast to me.
In reply to MrJoshua: Any publicity is good publicity. I'd never heard of them before but then I don't follow much that's mainstream.

They announced a few days ago that the new season will premiere in October.
The reality is that these guys have fairly dangerous jobs, as cool and passion driven that they may be. As Hemmingway said "There are only three real sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; the rest are merely games."
