My condolences to his family.
Looks like a pretty bad crash. As safe as they are, open pit cockpit cars are not designed to leave the ground.
Our thoughts go out to his family and friends. I'm glad we live in a time now where this is relatively rare, but damn it stings.
He is survived by wife Susie, and sons Sebastian and Oliver.
My thoughts are with them.

Terrible day for racing fans. Lots of speculation as to where the series goes next with high speed ovals. I for one think they they should have one oval race a year and that is Indy.

Eerie that they were talking about the issues with the oval track seconds before the accident.
Rick Huseman also died today.
