I read this morning that he has passed away. My first visit to a race track was the Trans-Am weekend at Mont Tremblant-Ste. Jovite in 1969 or 70. Horst was driving the U2 Alfa . I fell in love with the racing and little Alfa Romeos that weekend. Thank you, and rest in peace, Sir.
Ah, too bad... Some of my favorite Alfas of all time and some of the greatest Alfa racing history- especially when you consider the lack of real factory support. Seen the cars he made and drove, but never met him.
Kinda interesting timing. I am rereading "Unfair Advantage" and just finished the Trans-Am chapter where Horst Kwech is mentioned. R I P
