GMC Savana 2500 Extended, 9 seater! Just 10 miles from my house! 161k asking $12k
A good looking 7 seater. Chevy '03 w/158k asking $6k
Here's a gem!!! '04 Chevy w/118k asking $8k which is crazy cheap for a handicap lift equipped, high top van. You could sell the lift separately and that re-add a rear bench. The best part, the ad casually mentions it is a awd model. The awd should add $5-$10k to the asking price. Odd colors seem to be the biggest detraction.

Extended wheelbase, Quigley-ed, raised roof, Duramax, custom interior that looked like a Lear Jet inside.
Not $10k. More like $100k
A full size Duramax van would be quite appealing to me. I don't need 4x4 though, heck I'll just tow a Jeep. I do believe though that they only got a 4L80 transmission in lieu of the Allison for packaging reasons. Also they were pretty detuned compared to the pickups.
I've seen some E250 and 350 Fords and always wondered if maybe the hated 6.0 diesel wouldn't be so bad in a van. I mean, you should be able to at least gain access to it in theory anyway. Other than it blowing up, the big gripe seemed to be that you had to pull the cab to get to what needed repaired. Seems you'd just have to pull the doghouse on a van.

Mine was a regular top, the high tops are conversions. The one you linked by Explorer is a conversion.
I think the GMC SLT was only made from 1999 to 2002 ish.
Only 5.7 4L60e, 13mpg. I towed a 6500 lb travel trailer for ten years with it. Kids still miss it.
