The Mumpkin is ready. Won't run 10's, but will put on a good show.
So, given the current state of the art, what's attainable with $3k and a setup completely sold out to drag racing? Is there another second under the current 10.2 Challenge record?
In reply to JG Pasterjak:
I won't be surprised to see mid 9s at the Challenge in the next few years.

give me 3 grand and tell me to build it for drag only i bet i can give you a low 9 high 8. I can't guarantee how long the transmission would last but I'd be boosting the heck out of a 4.8-6.0 in a light chassis. At some point the safety gear limits the $ that can go into anything else, but at this event it sounds like the rulebook is out the window especially with the crap(no disrespect) that the roadkill guts put together. i don't have 3 grand laying around to prove my point, but do not be surprised to see 9's at the challenge sooner rather than later.
i gather at some point in the near future i'm going to have to start getting my chassis' certified and a competition license...
If somebody were to take a 20xx Challenger and throw some money at it using parts from the Roadkill sponsors, I bet there would be less backlash on actual value of the cars.

If it were me, that extra $1000 would go to more boost or more spray. Either one could drop a second, if your car has traction.

Bugzilla is the best choice. What car in our fleet would GRM-landers prefer?
EDIT 12/09 - Rules posted make the car(s) ineligible.
I think Fuzzy'baker is the most "Roadkill(RK)" of the collection (as evident by the RK reporter all over it at $2016.)
Second to that I think the yellow coupe is next most RK due to it's '32 Ford coupe-esque-ness.
I think the least RK is Bugzilla due to its distinct VW shape.
However, I think Bugzilla is the most GRM of the collection!
The Monza is a very RK option too but somewhat mundane in overall appearance in this group which might hurt it's notice-ability.
