If you're still a Rock Auto rookie, you may not have noticed the little "truck" icon after you put one item in your cart. When you continue shopping after you place something in your cart, you can see what other items would ship from the same warehouse which saves shipping cost.
Depending what you need to order, if there's comparable items/brands, sometimes you can save a few bucks by picking the secondary items or the small bits you mentioned (like a radiator cap) that is coming from the same warehouse, and/or switch up your main item to see if that gives more "same warehouse" options.
