I've tracked down two cars. One is mostly stock with a cage, seats, harness, and log book and runs. The other has all the go fast bits but is in pieces and needs engine work. They are the same price.

I'm leaning toward the running car. I like to tinker, but want a car that I can run in next months autoX (I'm not that fast a mechanic). But it's hard to turn down a car with all the good stuff. And no, I can't buy both (though that is the solution).

I've pretty much made up my mind, but wanted to hear what ya'll thought. And yes, I'll reveal the contact info for the car I don't pick

Thanks,

J

You're on the right track. I'd go with the running car. You can make it a bit faster here and there as time and money permit, and meanwhile use it for its intended purpose. The basket case is going to require a significant investment of time, and maybe even some money before it ever serves its purpose.

I would buy the stock one. I wasn't going to win right away anyway, might as well have fun and have a chance at finishing.

1st Gen speed parts are stupid cheap. Buy the runner and upgrade as you get seat time.

You'll need to log in to post.
