What brand oil filter do you run on your RX-7? I just realized that I ran through my Mazda oil filter stock pile, the closest dealer is 30 minutes away, and my work schedule is such that I can't get over to the dealer to pick some up this week. So I am considering running something other than a Mazda branded filter. So what say the GRM masses...besides no FRAMs.

I use the Bosch filters, IIRC the P/N is 3112 or 3122. In my case I'm lucky because the same filter fits the Trooper.

I think I have a Mobile 1 on mine at the moment. Either that or a Napa.

I usually go with Wix/NAPA Gold or Purolator Gold.

OE. I get mine from Ray Crowe, Parts Manager at Malloy Mazda. He owns 2 FDs (one 3 rotor turbo ) and gives us RX7 guys excellent pricing on parts and he knows the cars in/out. Excellent service as well.

NAPA Gold (Wix) or a K&N (Wix for twice the price with a nut welded on it) depending on access (true for all of my cars).

The K&N BTW, is a MUST have for the 944 w/power steering!!!

I used to run AC Delco. Never had a problem.

I actually used Fram in all my rx's with no issues. I used the one for a pinto v6 as it was about 2x the size of the standard one.

Na just get the adapter thing that goes on a ratchet extension. Gets any filter on or off my car (I have power steering)
