My friends car broke down this week and when she took it in they said the transmission lines were completely corroded. Since it is an old Saab - 1998 - they said the parts were on international back order and wouldn't know when they would be able to get them. Do you think she could have them replaced with other generic transmission lines or even just have them repaired? Thought you guys would know best.

My first thought is to try Goldwing Saab (1 800 SAAB-137). I have heard that they stock Swedish unobtanium so it is worth a phone call.

Sorry, I have no idea about swapping or interchangable parts; but good luck

Where is your friend located? Goldwing is in NY, so good for east coast-based.

yea, if you cannot get the correct lines.. an hydraulic shop should be able to fab them up if you can bring the originals in

boston? that is every saabs home away from sweden. There are probably more saabs and bricks in that area of the country than anywhere else in the country. Somebody should be able to help you
