nO, waterpump on the G-series is alt belt driven. Check for a leak at the O-ring on the back of the waterpump for the pipe?

Nasty noises and jumped timing belt tell me bad timing belt idler or tensioner or (and let's hope this isn't it) the cam seized in the head, making the belt jump. Dunno how that would make it lose coolant unless, as others say, the water pump is T belt driven (Bobzilla says it isn't) and it seized. That's how I got our LeMons Civic cheap; the water pump seized and made it jump time.
