Watch the racing here. Your boss will thank me.

GT1 is not such a great show. The Trans-Am race at VIR this weekend resulted in a small field. If one more car drops out with a mechanical issue, all finishers will end up on the podium.
Great racing so far although I am waiting to see if a penalty will occur in the HP class (That was crazy 2 laps). Does anybody run Touring class? specifically T4, I thought it was showroom stock but I see a 99 Civic Si was running and a integra Gs-R.
That HP finish was amazing. The Stewards are going to have a lot to deal with from those last 2 laps.

They hit the rev limiter around136-138mph.

I raced against Alan (in the VW) quite a bit when he ran FProd. Clean racer and good guy. Glad to see he went into the wall pretty softly considering it's the fastest part of the track.
In reply to racerfink: Agreed. The damage from the finish line event could have been much worse. The two touches in 2 & 3 early and late in the race could have been much worse as well. Thank FWD for some of that.

From what I've heard, they are bouncing off the limiters that Racerfink mentioned, while bump-drafting. A car running by itself is hitting about 122mph.
With 60 or so cars, this should be fun to watch!!!
I have to say, it wasn't as exciting that I was expecting. I don't know if I liked the runoffs at daytona. Great presentation from Mazda. It was a really cool setup at least.
Greg and Dorsey need to do a little more research. Cory won the last two SCCA races at Daytona, against much of the same competition.

I have no long it takes for the broadcasts to show up, but www.speedcast.tv has all Runoff races since 2009 on-demand.

Looks like Warkocki will not be running, unfortunately...
