SCCA Tire Rack Solo Nats--come see your pals from Grassroots Motorsports

Soon JG and I leave for the Tire Rack SCCA Solo Nationals in our VW Beetle TDi. Are you also going to be there? Come visit us on vendor row--bring a chair and hang out. Right now I'm shopping for an inflatable couch.

And a PS: What else does our spot need? I was already bringing a guitar so I could practice in the evenings--figure I'll be away for more than a week. Do I bring a small amp, too?

Yeah. We definitely want to do something cool on-site. Whether it's just showing up to the four-square pitch with a carload of pizzas, or having a freestyle rap contest, or an outlaw bare-knuckle boxing tournament. We haven't quite figured it out yet, but we have an expense account and 1500 friends we haven't seen in many years.

Offer beer contingencies for the big wheel prosolo? Can you rent a hot tub? Be the only ones at nationals with hired umbrella girls?

Freestyle pit?

You guys should come to rallycross nationals too.

I'm not sure what a freestyle pit is, but I'm really hoping its a foam pit with a ramp that we can jump our pit bikes into. That will get you some great pictures for your pitbike features.

A freestyle pit is awesome. If there's room, we'll chalk one out.

Don't feel bad, I don't know what they're showing, either. The welcome letter just says this:

Tuesday - Movie Night in the Paddock We’ve rented a 1 ½ story tall movie screen, HD outdoor projector & sound system for the evening. We’ll be showing a feature movie starting at 7:30pm. Bring your camp chairs, a beverage & join the fun! All are welcomed! B.Y.O.P. (bring your own popcorn)

No, not yet. I'm still in Florida while JG is en route. I'll start poking around when I arrive later tomorrow.

I'm tempted to offer to snag you some ~40 dollar craigslist find that can just be thrown away at the end of the week.

You know, I know someone I could call to help make that happen. Not sure a day is enough time to put it all together, though.

Just checked the weather: 60s-80s pretty much all week with no chance of rain.
