Drissi isn't a completely untalented driver, he was actually pretty good about 10 years ago. However, he's over the hill and rusty now and frustrated he can't run with the big dogs anymore, and is possibly mentally unstable.
SCCA should revoke his competition license.

It will be on the Trans Am series YouTube page soon.

It kind of looked like this: https://youtu.be/GKXpSyjfIik
In reply to David S. Wallens:
You sir . . . Owe me a keyboard . . .
But that pretty much describes what happened.
Here ya go!

When Amy makes her pass for the lead, you'll notice Tomy throws at least three blocks at her heading down to the keyhole, then tries unsuccessfully to do what he did later in the race.
So I see someone who does not need to be on any track, anywhere.

Thanks for the link. A lot of times there are two sides to a story, but not in this case. Seems clear to me.

I posted this to Drissi's Facebook page after the race, and last I checked it was still there. Got quite a few "likes"...
He's a brotha that'll smotha your motha....
I still haven't heard Tomy Drissi's side of the story. I asked for it via Twitter. No reply yet.
I don't think I've ever become that agitated from watching a racing video. Most of us know the annoyance of being punted accidentally, but that... I'm not sure I would have had the restraint not to track him down at the end for a "word" or two.
Hell, maybe she did and nobody's talking about it because that shiny happy person deserves it...
Holy...
Yeah, he should be blacklisted.
Thats absurd!
Especially coming in for one race and doing that?!?!

he speaks in the video at about the 28:50 mark.
never mind. the interview didn't say anything clear.
Not surprised that SCCA gave him the maximum penalty possible under their rules. It was pretty bonehead driving on Drissi's part.
Not defending the guy, he certainly should know better. Especially since he has been around since 99 in Trans-Am and won Rookie of the Year as well as a Championship among other things:

The Trans-Am series released this statement...

That should've been a perma-ban . . .
Once the ban wears off, I wonder if they can just refuse his entry.

Probably not, but if I were the chief steward there would be a pre-race meeting and he would be told my expectations. At the first sign of trouble throw him a black flag.
So can we expect him racing in Chumpcar or Lemon's now.....
He'll still show up at NASCAR road course events, I'll bet. He competed in the NASCAR race at Mid-O that same weekend.
Any clips of the incident?

I don't know if "compete" would be the right word. "In the middle of several incidents" might describe it better.
At the Road America Xfinity race, he brought out the first Full Course Yellow all by himself, on lap one. NASCAR took two laps before they pulled him out of the sand.

Which one? They're easy to find in the YouTube video I posted of the full race.
